Shotgun Call of Duty 4A lot of players feel that Shotguns are terrible weapons because of their lack of range; but if you have ever seen a skilled Shotgun class player you know this not to be the case. Shotguns can be amazing weapons, but the way you move and kill enemies with them is different than any other gun most people lack the skill to use them to their full potential. So here is a quick on how to use the shotguns in Call of Duty not just in close range situations, but to dominate any map and in any scenario. Also be sure to take a look at our COD4 shotgun review to determine which of the shotguns is the best.

The key to pwning with the Shotgun in video games in general is not your aiming ability, the spread of the pellets is so large it’s almost impossible to miss, the key is to position yourself so your target is always within firing range. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that you can’t get a kill with the M1014 if the guy your shooting at is half way across the map. Yet still see Call of Duty players trying to run into huge wide open places with their Shotgun only to be destroyed at range with a LMG. Read more

Sniper Rifle Reflection COD4

The graphics of is one of the things that makes the game great. You can see the shadows of every player, bountiful explosions dispersed across the map and even the reflection of the map around you in your sniper scope. The graphics of a sniper scope are particularly important though because it expands the players view of the map, and therefore enemy players. So can we use the reflection in a sniper scope to see enemies creeping us behind us or to stare around corners from a safe location?

Search and Destory Defuse Call of Duty 4Hardcore Search and Destroy is probably the game type to play if you want to play competitively. Search and Destroy matches require a totally different skill set than any other game type because it is objective based as opposed to kill based. Here are some for you if you want to make the switch from TDM to the more tactical HC SD game type in .

Find a good place to play – Search and Destroy can be a great game, or a terrible one all depending on the rules of the server you are playing on. With no rules 3/4 of the players are dead in the first 10 seconds from nade spam, and with too many rules everyone is stuck playing boring weapons. I look for servers that ban Noobtubes, Grenades and Airstrikes in the first 20 seconds of the game to prevent explosive spam and ban Martyrdom entirely because it just doesn’t work with friendly fire on. I think that anything beyond that is overbearing and takes away a good aspect of the game. You may have different preferences though and given the number of servers out there I am sure you can find one to suit you.

Knowing your enemy

G3 Call of Duty 4

In the average game of HQ there are multiple types of players, rushers, campers, snipers and everything in between. The usefulness of these players to their team varies greatly from the useless free frag to the guy who carries the team. A guy with a sniper rifle can have a nice kdr but still be pointless to the game if he just camps one spot instead of moving and covering the team, same goes to the mad rusher who keeps running headlong into the fray just to get shot to bits.
The purpose of this article is to give you some ideas on how to, unlike them: die less, kill more and be more efficient at capping, holding & clearing of HQs. Read more

Martyrdom is probably the most hated, and most played for slot three. It is the only in Call of Duty that actually rewards getting shot in the face by conjuring a grenade out of thin air. After that grenade falls you have exactly 2.5 seconds before it explodes. So what can we do to avoid dieing to Martyrdom?
Martyrdom Perk
Anticipate – Assume every single enemy you kill is using Martyrdom unless you have information to the contrary. It is better to be cautious and waste a little bit of time than rush in and get yourself exploded. This means don’t sprint everywhere just to get into combat faster. By over sprinting you give yourself less time to react and diminish your ability to escape if a grenade does fall. Read more
