A great article with some interesting points!!!

I agree with almost all of his opinions but there are a couple of differences between us.

Firstly, i think the bandolier perk is dismissed to readily. For many weapons having more ammo is very important, especially for the less common weapons where there is far less ammo is to be found lying around: G3, M14 etc

Secondly and lastly is his passion for silencers. Silencers have their uses but personally i think the trade off of power and range for a little more stealth isn't viable. For a start his point about about only taking perks that you can't get any other way is an excellent one - you obviously can't silence your shots without a silencer but quick short bursts of a weapon will mean you appear on the radar very briefly, in my opinion not enough time for that to be exploited. Another way of getting round this is carrying a silenced second weapon, if you are deep in enemy territory and are desperate not to be noticed while picking ur enemies off, they clearly haven't seen you yet, otherwise this wouldn't matter, which means you have the oppurtunity to get in close with your knife or shoot them quickly with your silenced pistol. His other point about it enablibg you to get a kill and disappear is good but, to be honest if you're good enough to take out a couple of guys your good enough to know that it's a good idea to move on quickly, furthermore I have come across very few parties (PS3) where the players are organised enough to advance up the same flank, let alone support their comrades closely - they're just looking out for themselves. Another thing that nobody seems to have thought of is that this could actually be used to your advantage, by deliberately making a lot of noise: firing, throwing greandes etc people will see you on the radar and pretty much blindly run to your position intent on eitner revenge or a percieved easy kill. A small alteration, leaving you overlooking your previous position will give you plenty of opportunity to take them compltely off guard. Although this tactic would take lots of discipline and some luck to actually pull off.

Hope i've been helpful, good hunting!

ive been using the aksu 74 silenced, 3 frags, uav jammer and stopping power. the combination seems to work very well for me and its good because ive been flanking the enemy, like the article said you just have to take the routes which they are least likely to use and stay low.

I have to say this is a spectacularly written article. I consider myself a fairly decent player so I find myself already doing alot of what you say in here. But everyone can always learn and these are some absolutely brilliant tips that you have given. I look forward to practicing these and getting better. Hope to see you on the field of battle and show you some of your tips. (At the other end of my gun of course. ;0 )
