After much demand here is the first installation of our series reviewing the best camping spots on each Call of Duty 4 map. We are looking for spots that are practical for competitive gameplay. This means we will not be looking at places you can strategic jump to if you have a spare 15 minutes in the middle of a frag fest. Today we will be looking at the spots on the new Call of Duty 4 maps, Creek, Chinatown, Killhouse and Broadcast. I did my best to show where the spots are with pictures but it can be a little bit difficult to get show in enclosed areas.

This place on Broadcast is a little more difficult to get to than others, so here are some directions on how to get there. 1. Jump on the chairs by the vending machine 2. Jump on the picture frame like objects on the wall 3. Jump from there to the top of the vending machine 4. Jump from the top of the vending machine to your final destination atop the TV. None of the jumps are particularly difficult or long, you just need to know the sequence. Once you get there it is a great location to camp because virtually no one will check upwards for enemies, so you can just pick them off as they run by.

This is a useful little trick for Call of Duty 4 if you are planting a Claymore in a high risk area and want to get in and out of there fast. It is a must have if you see an enemy approaching just as you put down a Claymore and need to react to the thread. Don’t use this in low risk area because it is not worth the resources it takes to pull off.

Normally when you plant a Claymore in Call of Duty you have to wait for the planting motion to play itself out for several seconds before you can pull out your gun. You can totally bypass that motion by throwing a normal or special grenade. What you want to do is wait just until the moment the Claymore hits the ground and immediately hit the relevant key to throw a grenade in Call of Duty 4.You will skip the Claymore plant motion and go immediately to the grenade throwing motion.

Explosives are the cement that holds a good Call of Duty 4 game together. Can’t get an angle to shot someone inside a building? Just toss a grenade up there and hope for the best. The explosives are all well balanced in terms of power, so we can’t discount any single explosive, but we can get to know them a little better. Be sure to check out our Call of Duty 4 Explosive Stats Chart for detailed information on each Call of Duty explosive.

Grenade - An extremely useful multi purpose explosive. No matter what perk or weapon set up you have the single denominator is that they all come equipped with at least one grenade. The multi purpose abilities is what makes grenades great. No other explosive kills with deadly accuracy no matter whether you are exploding it right at your feet or tossing it distances to enemies inside a building. Each grenade has a fuse of 3.5 seconds and a talented grenadier can cook a grenade so perfectly that it explodes right in the enemies face, giving them no time to throw it back to you. the biggest reason why grenades are one of the best explosives is that you can spam them over buildings or in random locations where there is a high probability of an enemy being located. The range and damage values of grenades means that one grenade is all you will need.

RPG jumping is a form of strategic jumping where you harness the power of the power of the weapon to hurtle yourself to new heights a normal jump couldn’t get you to. It may not be practical in your average Call of Duty 4 game but it can still be a nice trick to show off to your friends. The video below provides a nice tutorial on how to RPG jump in Call of Duty 4.

The excellent modding community for PC games is one of the things that separates them from consoles players. Sadly many players are not aware of modded servers and the custom maps available for Call of Duty 4 PC players. For those unaware modded maps and gametypes are simply changes and upgrades made to the game by average people who love the game. There are mods for just about anything you could want, from drivable vehicles to entirely new maps to totally new weapons. So how do we get access to these mods and open Call of Duty 4 to a whole new realm of possibilities?

Playing on modded servers is simple. First go to the list of online multiplayer Call of Duty 4 servers like you would if you were joining an other game. Then click the “Filter” option from the menu at the top of the screen.
