How to Fast Plant Claymores in Call of Duty 4 COD4

This is a useful little trick for Call of Duty 4 if you are planting a Claymore in a high risk area and want to get in and out of there fast. It is a must have if you see an enemy approaching just as you put down a Claymore and need to react to the thread. Don’t use this in low risk area because it is not worth the resources it takes to pull off.

Normally when you plant a Claymore in Call of Duty you have to wait for the planting motion to play itself out for several seconds before you can pull out your gun. You can totally bypass that motion by throwing a normal or special grenade. What you want to do is wait just until the moment the Claymore hits the ground and immediately hit the relevant key to throw a grenade in Call of Duty 4.You will skip the Claymore plant motion and go immediately to the grenade throwing motion.

You do have to wait some time for the grenade to be thrown but #1 the grenade gives you some sort of cover and potential for a kill and #2 the grenade throwing motion is much shorter than the claymore plant motion so you will be saving time overall. After throwing the grenade you can quickly switch back over to your primary weapon.It takes some practice to get the coordination and timing down for the Call of Duty Claymore fast plant so be patient.
