Deep Impact, Shooting Through Walls in Call of Duty 4 COD4

Being able to kill people through walls with bullet penetration is obviously a useful skill to have in Call of Duty 4. Most Call of Duty players just aim their weapon in the general direction of the wall, start spraying, and hope to get a kill. This is a bad plan. Here are a few tricks you can try to effectively kill enemies by shooting through walls in Call of Duty 4.

Aim down your sights – Firing from the hip makes gives you terrible accuracy, which even though you are blindly shooting through a wall, still matters. You have to remember that the goal here isn’t just to have the bullet hit the wall, but go through and hit someone on the other side of the wall. Aiming down the your sights is also very important so that the bullet hits the wall at a 90 degree angle, which brings us to our next tip.

Shoot the wall at a 90° angle – As we have previously explained on this site calculating the damage a bullet does after going through a wall in Call of Duty 4 can be a complex process. One simple applicable fact is that bullets entering a wall straight on will do more damage than bullets entering a wall at an angle. This means that for max damage bullet damage you should move along a wall firing down your sights straight ahead.

Use your UAV – This one should be obvious. Use your UAV to pinpoint the exact location of targets on the other side of the wall, at which point you should have no trouble getting a kill. If you can catch the map just after it refreshes you will have the best chance, otherwise the target may have moved.

Aim at crouched level – Aiming at the level where in enemies body would be crouching gives you the best chance of a kill. This is because it is also the center of mass of standing Call of Duty players. You won’t be able to hit players that are prone, but if aiming that low means you would only have the feet of standing or crouching players to hit.

Nah I dont think Pistols can penetrate walls I’ve tried with a Deagle no luck.

Also I think shooting people through walls on ‘Normal’ mode is pointless casue you keep shooting then and it just damages them and practically never kills them you would be better of throwing c4 in the room and blowing the place up.

But shooting through walls in Hardcore is great, if your on the target wont take you more than 10 shots to kill him.

The shit thing is,is that people start accusing you of hacking when you shoot through walls on numerous occasion one of my Clan,Team mate got kicked just casue he was LIKE SUPER at shooting at walls..

If you are sure there is an enemy somewhere on the other side the wall, using a lmg you can spray from the hip towards the presumed direction. When a bullet successfully hits, the location of the target will be indicated by the white diagonal cross. Then you can keep on firing to the precisely right place by aiming down the sights.

I love shoot through walls. Most of the enemy don’t even understand how the hell has they died.
The method works better in HC games and using high penetration weappon with Deep Impact.
Actually in HC game there is no safe cover.
My persomnal favourite is M249 as through thin and med walls one bullet kills.

Good point senertr on the hit indicator, you can use it to further determine the location of the target. Depending on the exact wall material pistols may or may not penetrate. Thin metal sheets the round will have no trouble getting through, but heavy brick walls are a no go. Aiming down the sights is critical because it ensures the bullets enter at a 90 degree angle, firing from the hip takes away your ability to control the angle it enters at.

Pistols do penetrate walls, even silenced. Even shotguns can shoot through the metal sheets.

M16, M4, and other assault rifles can penetrate medium thickness (i.e. brick) but not stone without deep impact. Snipers, SMG’s, and shotguns are a no go for that tho, you need deep impact to do it. LMG’s can, but not always

Seriously though if you feel that you have to win at all costs and not just enjoy the game, and realise that no matter how good you are, there’s always some 16 yr old nerdlinger who has absolutely no life, (and will probably lose his virginity to his harddrive), who will kick your butt and talk trash at the same time, then you are the people who give gamers a bad name. Using hacks on LAN games against mates for shits and giggles, thats understandable. Using hacks on an online server with legitement players to always get number 1, and claim you got that k:d ratio of 100:1 through sheer “leetness”? Not cool.
