The M9 shares ammo with the MP5 and the Mini-Uzi, so if you run either of those two weapons as your primary, you’d have to be crazy to choose the USP over the M9 (since the M9 is basically just a free mini-bandolier). Otherwise, I agree- if you want a silencer, use the USP. If you don’t, use the DEagle.

Yes the extra ammo from the M9 can come in handy in rare situations for the MP5 and Uzi. I agree that for those guns the M9 beats the USP. The Deagle still trumps them both though because the MP5 and Uzi are close-mid range weapons and at those ranges the Deagle shines.

My personal favorite,is the M1911. Because of its high damage,and its ability to be supressed. I also like it because it brings back old memories,of when I played COD1,2,and 3.

I agree with #5, the M1911 (colt .45)its just a fun pistol to have in the game. its pretty effective.

Th m1911′s only use is the fact that it has been in previous games and people have grown to like it. Face the facts. It is worse than the usp.

Given that you will not engage in long range fights with a pistol we are forgetting one of the most important factors, hip accuracy.
The max hip accuracy for the USP is AWFUL, it is the same as a light machine gun when crouched, on the other end the M1911 and the M9 are better and the Deagle has the best hip accuracy in the whole game.
Particularly I only use the USP when I have steady aim (and without an MP5 or Mini-Uzi of course).

The m1911 has better accuracy and less recoil (low cluster vs. medium vertical) than the USP

m1911=low mag capicity+good power+good accuracy
usp.45=good mag capicity+good power+good accuracy
m9 beretta=great mag capicity+low power+good accuracy
DEagle=low magizine capicity+great power+good accuracy

m9 good hip fire-same dmg-less recoil-big clip
usp lower hip fire-same dmg-more recoil-smaller clip

i used to use the gold deagle for about… forever but i got sick of it ( im 10th prestige 55 gc) and i wanted to try new guns. i would most reccomend the usp. its a great gun and has practically no recoil. u can rapid fire and easily kill an enemy. so what if it takes like 3-4 shots to kill someone u can shoot the gun amazingly quick. USP= BEST HANDGUN ON CALL OF DUTY 4.

I love the deagle because is’s so fun. I often just pull it out and kill 8 or 9 people. It sounds/ looks cool too.

After testing all of them expect the M1911 i came to these conclusions. (PC Version with latest patch)

- The M9 has by far the best accuracy and also it’s really quick to zoom and aim down the sight. Unfortunately the terrible range as cod4source stated really hurts the weapon.

- The only drawback of USP it’s the just decent accuracy. It isn’t as accurate as the M9, but of course it has better accuracy than the Deagle especially at medium to long range.

- The Deagle is by far the best handgun for close range because of it’s great power. Unfortunately for medium and especially long range has major accuracy issues.

Still i haven’t test the M1911 thoroughly but i doubt it’s better than USP due to 8 rounds per magazine and it’s lower range.

So yes, for me it’s USP for close/medium range and Deagle for close range.

Although i mostly use Deagle now, it’s best for snipers that don’t want to waste perk 2 on overkill when enemies trying to sneak on them.

The Deagle is the best but i dont know how the gold deagle haves a little more recoil that the normale then dont use the golden

i personally do think that the lovely USP is nice if equipped with a silencer… 2-3 shot’s on the body in approx 5-8 steps away from your foe straight rapes down him.. especially if you just Jump and prone shot, 3-4 shots will take his life from shooting his limbs ^_^

i do belive that D.E. has fukkin high recoil, but in Hardcore mode, where.. Most of the time, one shot kills.. does it really matters? ~_~ as long as you can see the person, one shot could raped him.. straight away..

Deagle owns because it has very high range- I Dont know what you people are talking about when you say it has ok range- i use it with a g36c and my sniper because (for me) i can hit the body from 30-60 feet away (of coarse, im a sniper) but it’s like a 2-3 hit kill at that range but i like it, and to me, it’s better than any pistol and some of the smg’s… lol

As soon as i lvled high enough and recieved the gun, i raped like six or seven people in the first 5 minutes of the match

Get good kids, everyone on cod4 has a turtle beach 60 dollar headset or more these days so if you like rocking the steady aim. I like rocking my turtle beach and hearing every step you make so i can pistol you in the back and you wont have a clue what hit you
Plus USP is really powerful with a big mag and it is accurate. Dont shoot from the hip, use the ironsights and take your entire right hand off the controller so you bring your palm down on the fire ingame button. You can shoot as fast as a modded controller doing this legitly. If they are running, strafe back and forth so you can somewhat keep up with their movement because your hand wont be on the controller

gold deagle has same power as regular deagle just looks better

i use G3 as side arm though so i have an even higher clip

I think this is more a matter of preference then anything else and depends on whether or not you play regular or hardcore. The best pistol is going to vary with your play style. A lot of people like the Desert Eagle because it’s powerful and can be a one hit kill (HC). The M1911 is definitely my favorite pistol in the game. It has excellent iron sights, good stopping power (1-2 hit kills in HC), and is very fast to fire. It’s also dead on accurate, I’ve gotten headshots on snipers and other unfortunate people from what I would estimate in game was 500 feet or more. The high magazine capacity of the USP is nice, but in my opinion the weapon is just plain ugly. The Desert Eagle is a hand cannon and its size and kick obscures your view to much in my opinion. Even the ironsight itself is too large and hard to draw a bead on target. The Beretta is a good choice if you’re using an MP5 because it gives you more ammo, and it’s iron sights are actually very good with their green color pattern. Still, I prefer the Colt for both its power and sights. The fact it’s also my favorite handgun ever probably has something to do with it also.

well guys lets see im 7th prestige (and stayin there) pretty good id say well best classes hands down are-hardcore-m14-silencer bandoleir-deagal-UAV jammer- last stand—–for normal-P 90-silenced-bandolier-stopping power-steady aim- also for hardcore- M40A3 overkill with scoripin silenced-bandoleir- steady aim–that what i use guys also—- for tips on leveling the fastest just play headquaerters with all the guns until you get that 1000 exp bounus for completin each gun (thats 1600 exp extra per 150 kills) and it helps you become a better all around play because you become good with ever gun–also silenced wepons are always better that red dot because 0 muzzle flash

My favourite handgun is the M1911, because of its awesome sights and because of its low recoil (the lowest recoil of all pistols)It also gives a 2nd World War touch….:-)

i like the m9 it gets me kills pretty decently with stopping power and its 3 shot kill to torso and 2 shots to chest

I use the USP until I get get D’Eagle every prestige. Unless I am using a Mp5, In which case I usually use the M9. Unless of course I am playing Hardcore Search and Destroy, Which I usually do.

If the deagle had a scope it wouldn’t be much different from the barrett. It has massive range. I personally prefer the m9 silenced, 2 shot kill on hardcore.

Heres the deal.

Long time player, and unlike quite a few in here, not a god damned idiot.

M9 – Incredibly accurate, low power, impressive firing rate, largest mag.

USP – Minor loss in accuracy, Slight increase to power, Still yet, impress firing rate, second largest mag.

M1911 – More power still, Hip fire is stellar, still impressive firing rate. (Catching on yet?) , Decreased mag capacity.

(Gold) Desert Eagle – Most stopping power, Most/Least accurate, and yes, still impressive firing rate,smallest mag

If you have any finger stength at all you can make any of these sound like a weed eater.(Save for the D’eag, ofcourse.) However, you’ll notice that all the guns come to rest at different times. The m9 has nearly no waiting period, where as the deagle may as well have been empty if you’re slapping away at the trigger. The deagle literally can lay one shot over the next… If you time your shots.

You just need to exercise a little finese’. This is no new news, either. Just think about it or try it. You’ll see. Then you can do what I do. PLAY HOW EVER THE HELL YOU WANT.

imo the usp with silencer is deadly and very easy to hit people wid, the m19 for some reason is hard to rapidfire with, and whenever im using the deagle i cant help feel this would be easyer if i was using an m9 or USP, when im playing ffa i find that the usp of all pistols is the best, and on core, deagle will usually drop somebody in 2-3 shots which is about the same as the usp but usp has no reacoil more acuracy better sight and the gun doesnt block the entire screen and u can stick a silencer on it so 4 core, its got to be the M9 or USP depending on your prefrence, as for HC dont play it cause everybody just hides in holes, so i’ll leave you to deciding best pistol for that. Please note that the USP has way more recoil than the M1911. Try comparing the two by rapid-firing at a wall (ofc while ADS) and you’ll see the difference. Still, it ain’t enough to compensate for the lack of bullets…

The Weapon Stats chart and this guide is a but retarded. Deagle’s hip-fire accuracy is nearly the same or even better than that of an SMG. The USP, M9 and 1911 have the same stationary hip-fire, but when moving, the USP hipfire is terrible, while the M9 and 1911 keep a decent hipfire.

USP .45:
Pros – higher capacity, longer range
Cons – very bad hip accuracy, bad sights, high recoil

M1911 .45:
Pros – nearly the same range, best sights, lower recoil, better accuracy, good looking
Cons – lower clip size, sliiiiightly shorter range

Personally, I use the USP .45 due to it’s clip size and range. I just felt like pointing out the recoil and hip accuracy.

I am starting to lean towards trying the M1911 .45 due to it’s looks, sights, and accuracy.

Bottom Line: for beginners use the USP .45 for it damage and clip size… for snipers use the M9, because it has same damage as USP .45 but more bullets, you won’t notice the range because if a sniper switches to pistol, the guy must be pretty close. If you are a pro and/or very accurate, use the M1911 due to its recoil, and looks, and accuracy.
