RPD is generally the best LMG. It has high power , and medium accuracy when grip is added. But if there are 3-4 enemies in fron of you you will not kill everyone ,because of the the little fire rate. But adding the double tab decreases the accuracy and it becames more difficult to shot at longer range. So in my appenion SAW is better ,because the perpose of an LMG is to kill multiple targets and SAW does that best. And if you add grip you can shoot enemies in long range. But there is one disadvantege – penetedration. SAW does little damage when shooting trough walls but you can still fire very quickly 5-7 bullets and kill the enemy .

My best LMG is the Saw becase odn Hardcore its only a one hit shot!!!!!! But now im useing the M60 because you need to use it to get the gold camo or plate. Im not good with the RPD anymore for somereason? I used to be a beast with it but now im not.
M60 and the SAW are the best LMG in the game!
I highly disagree with saying the M60 is a useless LMG. It’s stopping power makes it a deadly weapon, along with its slow firing rate your bursts in 3-4 shots are dime-points off one another, so its easy to lead and spray down a couple bad guys before the friendly neighborhood sniper takes your head off.
Bottom line- It’s stopping power makes it amazing with its combined accuracy, in the right hands it can be equal if not better than an RPD.
Grip that junk and you got one badass machine gun. Simply put. Even with a Red Dot sight, if you’re a decent COD4 player, it’s high recoil can be turned into a blessing when mowing down a few running enemies.
SAW is the best LMG……
Imagine: a P90 with double the clip size and long range….
The P90 does 30 damage up close, and 20 far away… Whereas the SAW does 30 no matter what range.
The P90 has a fire rate of 925 rpm, so does the SAW…
With Stopping power you have a huge clip P90 that kills in 3 hits from all ranges, it has extremely low recoil for an LMG so getting 3 hits with 925 rpm is very easy, even at long range.
Give it a try.
M60E4’s 40-50 damage isn’t useless. With stopping power you can 2 shot kill people with juggernaut perk on close range while it’ll take 3 shots with RDP and 4 shots with Saw. When you play against fast, skilled and accurate guys that that 1 extra shot can mean alot.
Also the golden camo is another good reason to use it. xD

I never use the RPD. It’s for campers with no skill xD
M249 SAW is awesome, the low damage doesn’t make a difference.
The M60E4 is the best LMG. If you have skill, you can control the recoil and the iron sights aren’t that bad?
What’s the problem with hip-firing with LMGs?
M249 owns on hardcore, M60E4 owns on softcore, but I must say, if you love shooting through walls, RPD is great.

The first guys set up is absolutely gay. I think the fact that he says extra health instead of juggernaut just shows how much of a fucking noob he is, and if any idiot uses his set up you should be shot in the face, never use juggernaut
Perk 1: 3 Grenades/ Claymores (sniper)/ rpg or special frag (if needed)/ bandolier (for people who like fire fights or rushing)
Perk 2: Stopping Power/ Sleight of Hand (Ak-74u or P90 or LMGs)
Perk 3: Steady Aim
This set- up is guranteed to make you ratio atleast .60 or higher depends on skill level and rank
