Call of Duty 4 1.6 Patch for PC + Free Map Pack
The Call of Duty 4 1.6 patch and map pack for PC wasn’t technically supposed to be released until tomorrow for normal users but it has leaked and is now available to everyone. Click to download the Call of Duty 4 1.6 patch The 1.6 patch fixes several weapon bugs and a multiplayer server exploit, killcams are not in this patch due to technical issues but will be released in 1.7. The map pack gives PC users 4 free new maps, Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse and Creek(pictured at right).

I can personally confirm that this download is 100% legit having used it myself. After you download the 1.6 patch make sure you also get the 1.7 patch as well which is here: http://cod4source.com/cod4-call-of-duty-4-17-quick-fix-patch-download. You need the 1.6 patch for the 1.7 patch to work so be sure to install the 1.6 patch first.

@anon: Does that ever happen? I’ve manually applied all my patches so far (1.4, 1.5, 1.6).
Yes an auto update button does appear in the game after awhile. It is just as easy, and a lot faster to manually install the update though.

consoles are for the poor, pc is better if you got the dough. no console gives 100 fps at 1600×1850 with everything maxed out. and even if us pc users had to pay extra, so what???

I downloaded the new map pack and i have the maps in start a server but when i try to do join game there are no servers with the new maps, and when i try to join a server it says it’s different from the server, i know that’s because those are old servers but how do i get the new servers????
It will take a while until someone answers me right?

I relised the other day that the Chinatown map is a map from Call of Duty 1 but has been changed into Chinatown for Cod 4. How cool is that!

You download and thenpatch… on the cod4 client patch it just downloads at same time as installing, Thats why it seems to be a longer wait. And it might actualy be a bit longer becuse the BAndwidth is being eaten up by Gamers and ppl Patching fromt he same source… its faster easier and you get the Patch sooner if u download it from a Alternate Site (It’s NOT against EULA”

hiya since ive installed this game on my gaming rig cod4 hasnt run that nice . not so smooth very glitchie lag spikes but on the 1.5 patch it was perfect .so b4 every says its not my comp because its effecting not just me but god knows how many other gamers that i can gather from other cod4 forums and a few of my clan mates

i installed 1.6 and 1.7 patch but there are no servers when i click the “join game” link.

Just unpack the patch and run the .exe file, the program takes care of the rest.

Did you do a full refresh of the servers and not just a quick refresh? Did you install the 1.5 before the 1.6 and 1.7 patches?
Guys i would have to say that they are both great games on pc and xbox but pc has the advantages with mods

Dude Anonymous obviously consols would be sold more than pc’s all u need to do for a pc is upgrade it abit…Lol u dont buy a pc every year other than that , pc is for people who can afford great games and a good computer to play them, unlike the consols u just buy and play, and PC’s graphics and gameplay are alot better.

Help me! How update COD from version 1.5 to 1.7?
i downloading the 1.6 patch from the website it above and it destroyed my computer. Told me to restart my computer and when it restarted came up with a DOS screen saying so and so is wrong press Esc and it would restart my computer and the screen would come up again. Did this over and over again till I reset my computer to factory settings and lost alot of important stuff. I dont want this to happen again and so im stuck with the default game? can you tell me if i did something wrong if the download had virus’s spyware am I the only one?
